Hi lovers,

If you are new to my publication, Welcome!

My name is Misha, and I’m here on a need-to-write basis and post my writings every week. This is a mixture of essays, creative non-fiction, poetry, and life musings, as I like to call them. I also have a podcast, mostly for my paid subscribers, but I open one episode a month for free subscribers. If you’d like to check out more or peek around- try reading some of these pieces below:

We all have secrets. Some are bigger than others and some are almost not even worth sharing. The gods have secrets too. In these secrets, the power of the gods comes so fiercely, that when they communicate, their thoughts become masses of their own. The ideas turn the universe into an ever-living, ever-expanding infinite space. They create thoughts from mountains and make lava flow.

The gods whisper songs to the galaxies they pertain to. We here in the Milky Way Galaxy have thousands of gods that govern us. Ultimately, we are all in the never-ending cycle of life and death. The surge of power has been and ever will be the focus of the gods, as each is not interested in the events of humanity. They do have a sense of hierarchy, however. The stance they take on who rules what and where is almost comical. They have devotees and divide their time in the heavens being adored, feared, revered, and worshipped. This is their favorite, the worship, because every prayer, every thought, gives them power and purpose.

Time constantly reminds me of the deities and their folklore musings; I have done some serious god digging, and so far, I must say that my favorites are the Greeks and the Mayan gods. Maybe you’d call me old-fashioned, but anyone believing in the power of gods is old-fashioned as well. I am of Mexican descent and my gods are intertwined with indigenous culture and European backbones that form the very rituals I use for prayer. We have La Virgin de Guadalupe, a blend between the Aztec mother goddess Tonantzin and the Virgin Mary of Western Christian descent.
